Peer-Review

Plant Omics is a peer reviewed scientific journal with a rigorous editorial screening and assessment process made up of several stages. All manuscripts will be rigorously reviewed by at least 2 external reviewers.

Initial Decision

The editor will decide whether the manuscript should go to the reviewing process or not (This initial decision will be made within 7 days). Authors will be informed about the initial decision, if the manuscript is declined. Otherwise, the manuscript will be sent to the review process and authors will be informd about the final decision within 30 days!


Review Process

When the review reports were received from two extrernal reviewers, authors will be informed about the results of their review report within 2-3 days. The review process may take 30-45 days. Authors will have the time to go throuh the review reports and make the revisions within one month from the date that they received the reports. If authors feel that they need more time for the revisons they can send an email to the editor and request more time or extension.


Status of Manuscripts

The status of manuscript can be easily done via online system of the journal. If the status shows "In Review". it means that it still has been reviewed.


Notification of Status

Authors will be notified about the review report as soon as they received.


Final Decision

final decision will be made the by editor based on 2 reviewers recommendations.


Publication Fee

There is a publication fee of $550 AUD for publication in open access journal. The full fee must be paid after acceptance. There is no submission fee before the final decision is made. Authors of accepted manuscript will receive an invoice that can be easily paid via PayPal or Credit Card or Bank Wire.




Australian Authors

There is no publication fee for the Australian authors, if they are the first and corresponding authors of the paper and also their study has been funded by Australian institues or universities.
